Study famines specifically caused by locusts.  news article with information about locusts

Take a look at archery.  What countries and time periods made use of this style of warfare?

Genesis 27:26-29 – a blessing for Isaac.   What is necessary for a civilization to thrive?

Ishmael was told that by his sword he would live.  Study the Spartans, a civilization that lived completely by the sword.  Be careful on this one.  It is important for older students to see what happens when a civilization is not based on torah principles of loving your fellow man, but it can be ugly.


Do a word study on fear in scripture.


Twins!  Take a look at identical and fraternal twins, and the special connection that twins have with each other.  some info found here

Study fertilizing and its impact on gardening.

Look at the impurities and filtration of water.  How does your water measure up?  How can you get clean drinking water in the wild?

  2. Mine are 7, 5, and 3. Heidi has several and her’s are older.. at least some of them 🙂 (she does a lot of the posts as well).. not totally sure on their ages though. 🙂
