Learn about Mesopotamia.

Take a look at ancient pottery.  What did it look like?  What was it used for, and how was it made? A basic history of pottery, please beware of an evolutionary inference.  news article on hebrew pottery found with inscription

Study women’s attire in ancient times, particularly their headgear.

Life Skills

Take this opportunity to make sure your children, particularly older ones, have a working knowledge of real estate, personal ownership, and property rights.

Do your children know about hunting.  Butchering livestock is an important skill to have.  Even younger children can take part.  Our 5,7, and 8 year olds grind the meat for us.  Other jobs that would be suitable for younger helpers are weighing the meat, wrapping, labeling, and helping cook the bones into broth.


Study the amazing camel.

Research gold.  Find it on the periodic table of elements.  What do we make with it?  excellent printable periodic table We laminated ours.

Take a look at desert life.  How is water collected, and food provided.  Study the plant and animal life.  Lots of fun desert printables and activities
